What's in this recipe?
What type of biscuits do I need for this recipe?
You'll need regular buttermilk biscuits, NOT the Grands biscuits. The regular sized buttermilk biscuits are usually sold in 6 oz cans (5 count biscuits in each can). You'll need two cans for this recipe.
Can I substitute the cream of mushroom soup?
Sure, but it will change the flavor a bit.
How to make this recipe:
- Spray a slow cooker with non stick spray. Lay one can of biscuits (5 biscuits) in the slow cooker and top with half of the cooked sausage.
2. Spread one can of cream of mushroom soup over the sausage.
3. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low.
Cool slightly before serving!
Recipe pro tips:
- Swap out the cream of mushroom soup for a different cream soup you have on hand
- Use low sodium soup if you're watching salt intake, or are sensitive to salt
- Cook and drain the sausage ahead of time and keep in the fridge, then layer the ingredients when you're ready!
- Swap out the pork sausage for ground turkey sausage
